Role: Curator

On the Edge of Time is a series of web-based events consisting of artist talks, workshops, performances, and screenings addressing the future of humanity, nature, and technology. 

Inspired by historical utopian thinking, the series seeks out proposed frameworks to confront current and future ecological challenges. The series unfolds through July 2023 with programming that explores research on systems created in symbiosis with the natural world and speculative ecological futures. 

This series is part of Prospect Art’s Broadcast program, which provides a virtual space for online public presentations in the form of discussions and interviews with the intention of creating a global forum for critical debate and presentation.

 presents a series of large-scale woven tapestries that explores the queer feminine in tales from One Thousand and One Nights. By rendering imagery of relationships and affairs of women in the stories Tale of Kamar Al Zaman and The Lovers of Bassorah, these woven narratives highlight a history of queerness in Islamic and SWANA cultures.
Presented at SPRING/BREAK Art Show Los Angeles.

Role: Exhibitions Researcher


A major solo exhibition of American artist Mark Dion presented by Whitechapel Gallery, with large-scale installations made between the 1990s to the present. Each installation drew attention to characters that observe, conserve or exploit the natural world.


I conducted extensive curatorial research, coordinated loans, and assisted in the production of a newly commissioned interactive work by the artist, titled Library for the Birds of London, which comprised of twenty-two live finches in a purpose-built aviary.&#38;nbsp;

Role: Curator


onepointfiveone was a long-term curatorial project born out of considerations around the physicality
of space. The project developed through a series of six solo shows in a former storefront space that had limited access yet full visibility to its audience. 
Engaging, site-specific installations were created by regional emerging artists addressing spatially-aware topics such as gentrification, digital heterotopias, and tourism marketing. Installations included a performance-based art lab, a sound installation, and video screenings. Artists included Simon Banos, Oliver Hickmet, Felicity Hammond, Harry Meadley, Gesamtatelier, and Rachel Pimm.
The series featured a robust public program, including several performances, artist talks, and curator’s tours. 
Exhibition guides were written for each show.

Sol Calero’s Solo Pintura at Laura Bartlett Gallery presented a new series of works that investigated the formal language of exoticism.&#38;nbsp;Known for her immersive installations, this exhibition was a rare occurrence, focusing exclusively on paintings.
While helping to organize this exhibition, I conducted curatorial research and played a large role in media coverage. I was primary press liaison for Latin American media outlets and drove outreach in both English and Spanish, gave countless tours to curators and advisors on Sol’s practice, and edited her work and press portfolios.

	Role: Exhibitions Coordinator/RegistrarFrancesca Gabbiani’s first solo exhibition at Gavlak Gallery presented her large-scale anarchic works of Los Angeles landscapes and non-places meticulously made with cut archival paper and ink. Works in the show were created over the course of two years.&#38;nbsp;
I worked closely with the artist to catalogue many of her previous works, and coordinate framing, transportation and careful installation of the exhibition. I also assisted her with media interviews, and handled the distribution of her exhibition publication, among other responsibilities.
The public program included a performance by Kim Gordon and Dmitri Chamblas.

In reaction to the sale of the building in which this group exhibition took place, Concrete Matters presented the work of twelve artists inspired by psychogeography and the rapid gentrification of London’s East End.

An exhibition catalogue was produced alongside a robust public program, including a workshop by George Kostoglou, sound performance by Lee Frasier, and a lecture-performance by Simon Banos.

Simon Dybbroe Møller’s solo exhibition,&#38;nbsp;&#38;amp;, addressed the failure of evolution in the natural and man-made worlds. Video, sculpture and photography represented cormorants, lettuce, aluminum and marble - surfaces which possess varying levels of porosity. 
This ambitious show required a screening room, which the gallery did not have, as well as space for sculptural works by the artist.

I worked with preparators to coordinate the construction of a screening room by creating a new floorplan, selecting and purchasing carpet and wall panels, and hiring and maintaining a projection system.

The Times focused on the works of illustrator Konstantin Kakanias made in the years spanning his career working for T Magazine, The New York Times Style Magazine. The exhibition centered around a De Sede terrazza reading lounge with issues of T Magazine and publications made by the artist. This was his first solo show at Gavlak Gallery.
I worked closely with the artist to catalogue almost 300 works on paper, coordinate a salon-style installation, and plan a summer luncheon to coincide with the exhibition.
