In Behind Closed Doors, Yasmine K. Kasem presents a series of large-scale woven tapestries that explores the queer feminine in tales from One Thousand and One Nights. By rendering imagery of relationships and affairs of women in the stories Tale of Kamar Al Zaman and The Lovers of Bassorah, these woven narratives highlight a history of queerness in Islamic and SWANA cultures.
