1.51 Curatorial Residency
Exhibitions
01/2017 - 08/2017

Role: Curator
onepointfiveone was a long-term curatorial project born out of considerations around the physicality of space. The project developed through a series of six solo shows in a former storefront space that had limited access yet full visibility to its audience.
Engaging, site-specific installations were created by regional emerging artists addressing spatially-aware topics such as gentrification, digital heterotopias, and tourism marketing. Installations included a performance-based art lab, a sound installation, and video screenings. Artists included Simon Banos, Oliver Hickmet, Felicity Hammond, Harry Meadley, Gesamtatelier, and Rachel Pimm.
The series featured a robust public program, including several performances, artist talks, and curator’s tours.
Exhibition guides were written for each show.
